embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw

A building complex of the diplomatic post of Malaysia is planned in a prestigious location, at 1 Szwoleżerów Street in Warsaw, Poland. The site is located in close proximity of Royal Łazienki garden as well as the embassies of Spain, of the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, India, Japan or the Republic of Korea.

The proposed aesthetic, functional and spatial design attempts to find balance between the representative role of the Embassy building and its rather modest size. The complex consists of a sequence of three boxes carrying separate functions: residential, exhibition and office building, surrounded by a homogenous façade.

The design of the rooftop garden evokes the picturesque tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands region by this small hills covered with evergreen plants and narrow paths (“trails”).
